BIO

Hey! My name is Salma. I was born and raised in Stockton, CA. I am a proud Muslim American. My family consists of my parents and my older brother. Yes, I’m the loud, annoying, but obviously the most amazing, daughter/sister in the house. Other than my household, I can't forget my uncles who practically raised me since I was born. Even now, I know they are always there when I need them; whether that be if I get into an accident and need to call someone or just need someone to pick me up because I'm sick. Heck, I'll call my youngest uncle just to tell him a funny story. Other than my family, My close circle is very small which consist of about 2 best friends and some annoying cousins that I grew up with, and have many memorable memories with. I'm told that I am an outgoing person and have a pretty great sense of humor. It can get dry at times, but I mean everyone has those days. When I’m not around people to make jokes I really enjoy annoying my parents and brother. My other interests are baking, cooking, self care, working out, writing (not formal essays; just fun poetry type), and organizing. We all know, I end up lying on my bed with a chocolate, scrolling through pinterest for ideas to spark my interest and in search for motivation. Speaking of motivation, I'm really big on it. I really love listening to motivational videos or podcasts to get motivated, and just everything about it draws me in. Even if the motivation comes from a nicely organized office space I’ll be drawn and save it into my pinterest “want” board. Obviously I don't have the money to have a nice office place of myself so that's all I can do for the moment. In thought of the money, that's where I am now. In School, at the University of the Pacific trying to get an education to make something for myself. Using those motivational videos to try to do better on every passing class not only for myself but also for my parents and brother who work so hard to help me get an education. Looking through the pins I saved to remind me: Yo! Your getting closer to your dreams. Delete. Not dreams, but goals. Dreams don't always come true. Goals do, if you work for them. If these 18 units a semester aren’t working, I don't know what is.
