Artist Influence

Every artist/designer is influenced by one thing or another. Whether they are inspired by a person or thing, it all leads to their work or ideas being influenced. I am influenced by many different things. I don't think I can name a specific person, because it’s not the person i'm usually inspired by, it's their work.  One person who's aesthetic I do like is Jessica Conte, a youtuber, her Instagram page is very warm and comforting. However, I don't think her page expresses my influences completely. I tend to be pulled into very minimal modern aesthetics, and very clean art forms. One of those art forms includes paintings and drawings. Those very flowy and minimal paintings which express way more than what's on the canvas. Also I think the colors in general have a big part in what I am pulled into. I tend to lean more towards neutral colors, and colors that go beyond the primary and secondary colors. Interior design that is very clean and minimal inspires me a lot as well. When I see a kitchen with the sharp white counters and cabinets all painted in unity and great contrast with the counters. Then to top it off, 1 or 2 small plants to bring the kitchen to life. Yes, I feel it. Or the way a bedroom (picture of bedroom to left is Jess Conte's) is assembled with the theme of colors being shown through even the smallest detail like the frame on the vanity desk. The same with design, if I see neutral colored envelopes with a soft but very catching design, I feel it. In photography pictures of nature, with the sky expressing itself through various amount of color and all the stars being incorporated beautifully with them, yes I feel it. Or even when I see pictures of rings as aesthetic boards, I always save the very simple thin ones. I can never get myself to like bulky/chunky rings, it just doesn't give me the same feeling. Now what might that feeling, I keep talking about, be.  As you may have guessed by now, I get my inspiration from….. Pinterest. Pinterest is perfect for being able to see the art I like in a theme, rather than seeing the work of one specific person or thing. That feeling comes when I see a great art piece and save it in my board. Then later go back to it to make it my background so I get the feeling every time I open my phone. That feeling is of motivation, of inspiration, of tranquility. Not one word alone describes the feelings from the piece, and I think that's the beauty in it. They are all unique and are able to cause feelings that a human can't even describe.
