Knowledge vs. Creativity

Knowledge is a broad set of information that one can obtain from education or experience. Creativity is using that knowledge to make or create new work or ideas. One can be creative in the way they learn knowledge. For instance, one can take notes many different ways, or create a song to help learn concepts. But most important, one needs to have knowledge for them to create. In one way or the other, your creativity is inspired by the knowledge you have. If you do not have knowledge of how to use powerpoint your creativity won't really be shown through a powerpoint. You won't ever think of making a powerpoint because you wont have knowledge about it. So in a way if your knowledge is limited your creativeness will also be limited. The more knowledge one has, the more creative they can be. Knowledge can be of anything, this is very broad, just like creativity can be for anything. It doesn't have to be specific for any one thing. Knowledge is something one learns in a classroom or in day to day life, consciously or unconsciously. However, in a way, creativity isn't learned. Other than the fact that it is using the knowledge one acquired, it is solely created through your mind without being taught it. This can be shown through things like the phone. There is a lot of knowledge that goes into it, but the idea was created without it being taught. A person was influenced by his knowledge to create something that no one else did. If no one else did it or thought of it, then he couldn't have been taught it. As distinct as the two seem; I believe in some way, knowledge and creativity go hand in hand.
